Wake Football

Last Saturday we went to our first Wake game of the season. It was such a fiasco! We were so excited because it was going to be Austin's first tailgate experience. He LOVED it. Put him in a parking lot of cars and the boy is as happy as can be. As people walked by he waved and blew them kisses, he was a big hit! So of course we had to pay $8 to park in the boonies!!! So after we eat lunch we head on over to the game switching Austin back and forth between us until we get there. Then, at the gate the lady tells us that Austin needs a ticket because he is over one. I would have told a white lie but she was sneaky....she said "Awww he is so cute, how old is he?" me- "thank you so much, he is 20 months old." Her- "Oh, he needs a ticket then to get in. You can go around the corner and purchase one for him." Me- "of course I would LOVE to purchase my son a $40 ticket after we just walked a mile to get here!" I didn't say those exact words, but it was close! So then we walked all the way back to the car where David called his Uncle who was at the game to let him know we wouldn't be there and why. That's when he told us that he could get us an extra ticket.....back to the gate we went. We have our ticket, we are ten minutes into enjoying the game and it starts raining. Not a light sprinkle mind you, a RAIN. Back to the car we go! Craziness!! It was all worth it to see my boy smile!We're number ONE!! Mmmm sandwich
